Professional Experience:
John commenced in a Quantity Surveyors practice in 1975 and was appointed to the position of associate partner in 1979. John opened his own private practice in the name of John J. Casey, Chartered Quantity Surveyor in 1985. Was a visiting lecturer in Cork RTC in 1980, lecturing on a part time basis to both full and part time students on a wide variety of construction subjects. John has been involved in a wide range of building projects from education, factories, office, commercial and housing schemes covering all aspects of Quantity Surveying from Client brief to final account. John has produced a number of publications including “The role of the Quantity Surveyor in Factory Design” and formulation of clauses in RIAI form of contract.
